Achieving Food Freedom & Upcoming Tour Events
Veganism is a practical response to injustice, disease, conflict, and environmental devastation, and I’ve found that a regular practice of cultivating meditative awareness is a terrific way to deepen and embody the essential dynamic underlying vegan living, which is respect and kindness toward others as the spontaneous expression of our sense of interconnectedness with the living web of life on this beautiful Earth.
Madeleine and I are now entering the final month of our 5-month Food for Freedom Tour, with a few presentations coming up soon here in Florida—in Cape Canaveral, Mt. Dora, and Lecanto—and then heading back west. – You can join us in Baton Rouge, Houston, Austin, Tucson, Phoenix, Ajo, San Diego, the L.A. area, and we’ll be finishing up in Fresno and Modesto before returning home in early April to northern California.
We will also be putting on a half-day retreat, Rescuing Animals, Rescuing Our World: Animal Sanctuaries as Centers of Healing, at the renowned Rowdy Girl Sanctuary east of Austin on March 16th as well.
This coming Thursday, we will be hosting our monthly 1stThursday World Peace Meditation via Zoom, and you can join us if you like on Zoom at 5 pm Pacific, 8 pm Eastern. We’ll come together for a time of spiritual teaching and reflection, and take time for meditation together. One hour max. A little earlier on the same day at 4 pm Eastern, Madeleine and I will be doing an online discussion of Healthy Relationships. Details on our Tour Schedule.
Finally, we are delighted to share a new video we have created with Lillian McDermott, “Achieving Food Freedom,” that addresses the correlations between how we treat animals and what is happening in the world around us.
We are deeply grateful to the many advocates and caring people who are helping to arrange all these events and also to those attending.
Our new book, Food for Freedom, is still in the process of being designed and finalized, and we will keep you posted on the release date coming soon.
Thanks for your efforts and for your presence here on our precious Earth.
